Parent Involvement Task Force
Overview
You are invited... to join the parent involvement task force at Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV.
There is no topic in education on which there is greater agreement than the importance of parent involvement. Children are always the clear winners when parents and teachers work as a team.
Title I parents can help to make a difference by joining MIU IV's parent involvement task force. Last year, the intermediate unit hosted two parent involvement task force meetings. We invited Title I parents from the Butler, Lawrence, and Mercer counties to attend. More than forty different parents and Title I teachers responded to the invitation last year.
The meetings start at 10:30 and include a guest speaker who talks about ways that you can help your children or your school. Lunch and reimbursement for travel expenses are covered by the State and Federal Programs Department at MIU IV. Parents will return home in plenty of time to get their children off the bus.
We would love to have more parents join the task force. If you are interested in participating, email us and let us know that you would like an invitation to the next task force meeting. Include your name, address, telephone number, your child’s school, and the best times to reach you. The more the merrier!
