Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV Title IX Notification

"No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, or denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any educational program or activity receiving federal assistance."

-Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 to the Civil Rights Act of 1964

Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV affirms that no person shall, on the basis of sex, disability, race, color, age, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, ancestry, veteran’s status, or genetic information be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination in any educational program or activity. In addition, no person shall, on any of these bases, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination in employment, or recruitment, or consideration, or selection, therefore, whether full-time or part-time, under any educational  program or activity operated by Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV.  

DESIGNATED TITLE IX COORDINATOR

In compliance with Title IX of the Education Amendment Act of 1972, Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV has a designated Title IX Coordinator. The Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV’s Title IX Coordinator should be contacted regarding any inquiries regarding Title IX or for filing a harassment complaint.

Additionally, all Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV staff, being mandated reporters, may file a complaint at any time, and submit to their supervisor. Reporting by staff to any required child abuse agency or law enforcement agency, as directed by state law, is to be done in addition to reporting complaints to building and supervisory staff.
