The Pennsylvania Department of Education has been awarded a five year State Performance Development Grant that is designed to increase the capacity of local educational agencies (LEAs) and schools to provide all students, including those with complex instructional needs, with maximum access to and learning of the general education content and curriculum.
Pennsylvania Training and Technical Assistance Network is implementing an evidence-based professional development effort funded by an OSEP State Professional Development Grant. The Project MAX SPDG focuses on building capacity of LEAs and intermediate units (IUs) to provide students with complex instructional needs with access to and learning of grade level academic standards, including the Pennsylvania Core Standards. This innovative project is built on the principles of implementation science and designed to impact LEAs and IUs across the commonwealth over the five years of the project.
Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV’s educational consultants are currently participating in training for Project MAX with an intended roll out to select member districts and MIUIV programs during the 2015-2016 school year.
