Professional Learning Communities

  • A professional learning community, or PLC, is a group of educators that meet regularly, share expertise, and work collaboratively to improve teaching skills and the academic performance of students.

Professional learning communities tend to serve two purposes: (1) improving the skills and knowledge of educators through collaborative study, expertise exchange, and professional dialogue, and (2) improving the educational achievement of students through stronger leadership and teaching.

Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV is pleased to host PLCs in the following areas:

    Teachers of Learning Support

Teachers of Life Skills Support and MDS Classrooms

    Teachers of Autistic Support

    Teachers of Emotional Support

    School Psychologists

PLC’s meet multiple times per year to network and collaborate with others in their field. Please see flyers for more information and registration.
